Description

We are looking for a well-traveled and insightful Travel Sales Consultant to advise on and plan business and vacation itineraries. You will be responsible for promoting and booking traveling arrangements for clients. The goal is to enhance satisfaction and acquire an expanding and dedicated clientele.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Researching and providing clients with options for flights, accommodations, transportation, and activities based on their preferences and budget.
  • Creating and booking flight and other transportation arrangements as well as lodging and tours.
  • Providing advice on travel regulations and requirements for visas and passports.
  • Provides information about travel destinations and accommodations.
  • Communicates with vendors of travel-related products to get the best deals.
  • Markets and sells holiday and other specialized tour packages.
  • Responding to inquiries about our company's services and offerings.
  • Ensuring that clients pay the deposit before you commence with bookings.
  • Determining each client's requirements, including destinations, length of stay, and transit time
  • Informing clients about the cancellation policy, including salient dates and all penalties.
  • Ascertaining and adhering to the available budget.
  • Selecting the most appropriate transport based on the available finances, requisite departure and arrival times, and preferred duration of transit.
  • Securing accommodation that is best suited to the budget and location of choice.
  • Planning excursions based on each client's needs and interests.
  • Helping clients navigate through the booking process, including making reservations and issuing tickets.
  • Communicating with clients before, during, and after their trip to ensure their satisfaction and address any concerns or issues that arise.
  • Building relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.
  • Staying current on industry news and trends to provide the best advice and recommendations to clients.
Job Skills & Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; a degree in hospitality, tourism, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is required.
  • Familiarity with travel booking systems and software is required.
  • Certification from a recognized travel agency is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of popular travel destinations and industry trends.
  • Great sales and marketing ability.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with clients.
  • Superior knowledge of tourism-industry trends.
  • Excellent knowledge of travel software.
  • Ability to speak multiple languages is a plus.
  • Demonstrable experience as a travel consultant, with expertise in local and international travel arrangements.
  • Computer literate, with exceptional desktop research and professional writing skills.
  • Top-notch interpersonal skills, including communication, respect, and empathy.
  • Ability to source the best quotes.
  • A knack for delivering multiple outputs within tight turnaround times, as needed.
  • Capacity to deliver commendable services that surpass clients' expectations.
  • Knowledge of travel regulations and requirements for visas and passports.
  • Strong research skills to find the best travel options for clients.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work outside normal business hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
