Role Overview
The Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Specialist will ensure that all oil & gas operations comply with safety, health, and environmental regulations. This role involves developing, implementing, and monitoring safety policies and programs to minimize risks and foster a strong safety culture. The HSE Specialist will work closely with operations, maintenance, and management teams to promote safe work practices and continuous improvement in safety performance.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement HSE policies and procedures.
Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
Investigate incidents and recommend corrective actions.
Deliver HSE training and awareness programs.
Ensure compliance with local and international safety standards.
Monitor environmental impact and implement mitigation measures.
Prepare safety performance reports for management.
Liaise with regulatory agencies on safety matters.
Support emergency response planning and drills.
Promote a strong safety culture across all teams.

Qualifications & Experience
Diploma or degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in HSE roles in oil & gas.
Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices.
Excellent communication and training skills.
Ability to conduct thorough investigations and risk assessments.
Proficiency in safety management systems
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Certification in NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent preferred.
