Description

Technical Writer

As a Technical Writer on our team, you possess exceptional writing skills, working independently in a fast-paced environment. To be successful, you have a good understanding of the software development process and the technical expertise to learn and write about complex software, including the ability to interview Subject Matter Experts and write the documentation independently. You understand the difference between writing documentation for an audience of end users or administrators, and have experience working with a variety of documentation styles and techniques.

Who you are

•You are analytical, evaluating information needs for projects and help define content requirements.

•You create high-quality documentation about PAX applications, including User Manuals, Release Notes, Getting Started Guides, Knowledge Base, and other publications for both end users and internal teams.

•You are meticulous, reviewing and editing your own work as well as performing peer-reviews for other members of the team.

•You assist senior staff to identify tasks and responsibilities.

•You are detailed, consistently authoring accurate content compliant with department and company standards.

•You are a collaborator and also an individual contributor who relies on professional discretion to achieve goals.

•You are a team player, conducting technical reviews with the engineering and product management teams.

•You are curious, researching topics to be documented based on information from a variety of credible sources.

•You use customer feedback to drive content, process, delivery, or accessibility improvement.

•You review, assign, and resolve defects and enhancements in defect tracking tools.

•You transform ambiguity into clarity.

•You enjoy collaborating in a multicultural and diverse environment that expands to include various geographic locations.

•You have stellar communication skills, effectively expressing yourself and gathering information in a clear and consistent manner.

What you’ll need

•5-7 years of experience writing technical documentation.

•Bachelor's degree preferably in technical writing, computer science or a related technical field.

•Mastery of authoring tools, such as MadCap Flare, Adobe FrameMaker, MS Word.

•Experience in planning, researching, writing, and editing user-friendly documents.

•Ability to deliver quality documentation under tight deadlines with changing product requirements.
