Description

Required Position: Sr. Painting Inspector for Steel Structure Industry

A leading manufacturer of Steel Structures in Middle East and a market leader in UAE is looking for a Sr. Painting Inspector.

Salary Offer: AED 3,000 – AED 4,000 with Accommodation, Transportation and OT Pay

Job Description:

• To inspect all fabricated & coated elements related to Material preparation and Monitoring of coating activities & conduct visual inspection.

• Applicable painting procedure specification is available and displayed the work/Operation instruction in the working station.

• Co-ordinate with Client during inspection of coating

• Co-ordinate with paint supplier relates to technical issues and inspection of paints as required. Check the Compressor, paint Airless spray machines are in good condition and suitable for Job prior to work start.

• Check the Relative Humidity, surface temperature and maintain record before starting blasting and painting application.

• Check the calibration of equipments/Machines/measuring instruments.

• Check the Surface Profile range and maintain record.

• Check the Shelf life period of paint product & ensure them are in validity period before start of paint mixing and application on work.

• Verify Paint Batch certificates with identification for traceability of paint cans prior to paint application on work.

• Monitor and Control the painting process /Technique.

• Inspect the painting system complies with Client, project Specification and Drawing requirement and applicable code.

• To carryout Dry film thickness inspections, to conform the product is meeting the client’s requirements and prepare report.

• Conduct water-soluble salt test and adhesion pull-off test as when required.

• Perform Visual inspection prior to transfer the member to Shipping department.

• Issue release note to shipping for inspected and clear Qty (As applicable to project)

• Coordinate with all other production departments and ensure the required documentation is submitted.

Minimum Requirements:

ITI or Technical qualification

Certification in Painting NACE/BGAS Level 2

Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in steel fabrication/coating inspection field.

Special Knowledge Skills:

• Knowledge of computer operation (Ms Office)

• Familiar with British , Europe & American standards
