Description

Job Purpose:

• Provides specialist advice to Geophysics Team and company Assets.
• This includes highly specialized and unique expertise in at least one (but potentially in more) of the following areas: processing, re-processing and analysis of seismic data in the areas of Exploration and Reservoir geophysics.
• This Includes 1D, 2D, 3D and 4D seismic programs, field testing programs for surveys, technical integrity of processing and reprocessing, technical capabilities of service companies, tenders documents and contract packages for seismic data processing/Reprocessing.
• Ensure with other specialists the integration of geophysical input into multi-disciplinary studies.
• Advises on quality control monitoring tools to ensure adherence to recognized industry and company standards for his/ her area of expertise.
• Acts as authority on his/ her specialist are of Geophysics and ensures that lessons learned are shared with all Teams.
• Designs, participates and provide expert technical advice on all activities related to processing, reprocessing and analysis of seismic data.
• Verifies the technical integrity of processing and reprocessing testing programs and the resulting data of seismic surveys to ensure quality of processed data.
• Participates in the preparation of tenders documents and contract packages for seismic data acquisition/processing.

Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills

• 15 years or more of relevant hands on geophysical experience, mainly in 3D seismic data processing
• Experience in 3D seismic acquisition is also an advantage.
