Senior DevOps Engineer – Crypto Market Making

Location: Remote or Dubai

Role Overview

We’re looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our end-to-end infrastructure for real-time crypto market making. This includes building out scalable systems for quote generation, execution, exchange connectivity, and performance monitoring.

You'll work closely with the core team and help lay the technical foundation of a next-gen trading platform.

Responsibilities

- Design and deploy cloud-based infrastructure (AWS/GCP) for real-time trading systems

- Containerize services and manage orchestration via Docker and Kubernetes

- Build automated CI/CD pipelines for rapid, safe deployments

- Set up robust monitoring, logging, and alerting (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)

- Manage exchange API connectivity (WebSockets, REST) with high uptime

- Collaborate with quant and backend engineers to ensure seamless algo integration

- Ensure security best practices across deployments and access controls

- Support infrastructure scalability, failover, and recovery

- Help shape the internal tools for trading PnL, latency metrics, and real-time diagnostics

Requirements

- 5+ years of DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering experience

- Strong proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform/Ansible

- Deep experience managing cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

- Solid understanding of networking, Linux internals, and distributed systems

- Familiarity with message queues (Kafka, ZeroMQ) and pub/sub systems

- Experience building monitoring and telemetry dashboards

- Prior exposure to high-availability, low-latency systems (preferably trading)

- Able to work autonomously in a fast-moving startup environment

- Strong communication and documentation skills

Bonus Points For

- Experience with crypto exchange APIs (Binance, OKX, Bybit, etc.)

- Experience in market making or high-frequency trading infrastructure

- Familiarity with FIX protocol or financial messaging standards

- Proficiency in backend programming languages (Go, Python, or Rust)

- Built infrastructure for algo deployment, risk controls, or multi-account setups
