Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial reporting, particularly in IFRS 15 revenue recognition and UAE VAT regulations. This role requires proficiency in month-end closing activities, cost center accounting, job costing, and project cash flow management. Experience in liaising with auditors and a background in contracting or fabrication industries would be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

* Apply expertise in IFRS 15 and revenue calculation, particularly percentage of completion method, to ensure accurate financial reporting.

* Manage all aspects of UAE VAT compliance and reporting.

* Lead month-end closing activities, including reconciliations and financial statement preparation.

* Oversee cost center accounting and allocations to ensure proper cost management.

* Utilize job costing knowledge to accurately track project expenses and profitability.

* Monitor project cash flow and provide insights to support decision-making.

* Serve as the primary point of contact for auditors and facilitate audit processes.

* Previous experience in contracting or fabrication industries is a plus.

Qualifications and Skills:

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

* Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role.

* Proficiency in IFRS 15, UAE VAT regulations, and month-end closing activities.

* Strong understanding of cost center accounting and cost allocations.

* Experience with job costing methodologies and project cash flow management.

* Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.

* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.

* Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
