Description

Senior Mechanical Engineer – MEP

Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise HVAC, plumbing, drainage and firefighting works at site.
- Review IFC drawings, shop drawings, specifications and approved material submittals.
- Coordinate mechanical services with electrical, civil, architectural and other MEP disciplines.
- Plan manpower, materials and work fronts to achieve project targets.
- Monitor site progress and ensure works are completed as per programme.
- Ensure installations comply with approved drawings, specifications, quality and safety requirements.
- Coordinate with consultants and clients for inspections, approvals and technical clarifications.
- Raise and follow up WIRs, MIRs, RFIs and technical submissions.
- Supervise testing, commissioning and system handover activities.
- Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure productivity and quality.
- Coordinate with procurement for timely material availability.
- Identify site issues, delays and clashes and implement corrective actions.
- Review variations and additional works from the site/technical perspective.
- Guide and supervise junior engineers, supervisors and foremen.
- Prepare progress updates, reports and recovery plans when required.
- Ensure proper documentation, as-built drawings and close-out requirements are completed.
- Maintain high standards of quality, safety, cost control and project delivery.
