Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the organization’s purchasing policies and procedures.

• Monitor compliance with internal controls and external regulations.

• Review requisitions and purchase orders for accuracy and completeness.

• Negotiable pricing and terms with the vendors, suppliers, and contractors.

• Select vendors based on the price, quality, and delivery speed.

• Prepare and issue contracts.

• Manage inventory levels and stocks to ensure the availability of materials.

• Resolve issues with suppliers in a timely and professional manner.

• Train and supervise procurements staff.

• Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

• Prepare reports for senior management.

• Participate in budget planning and forecasting.

• Tracking all expenditures throughout the lifecycle of a project to ensure it stays within budget.

• Coordinating with suppliers to ensure they have all items needed for production.

• Ensuring the quality of the products or services by monitoring suppliers’ performance and making recommendations for improvement.

• Reviewing contracts for accuracy and legality, especially regarding insurance coverage in case of damage or loss.

• Reviewing bids from suppliers to determine which company will best meet the company’s needs.

• Inspecting goods that have been delivered to ensure they are in good condition and match the specifications in the order form.

• Reviewing purchase orders to ensure they are accurate and complete.
