Description

Job Summary:

• Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure product availability and freshness. Order and restock items as needed, and maintain relationships with suppliers.
• Staff Supervision and Training: Oversee grocery staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations. Ensure staff is well-trained in customer service and store policies.
• Sales and Marketing: Develop strategies to increase sales, including promotional activities and in-store displays. Analyze sales data to understand customer preferences and adjust strategies accordingly.
• Customer Service: Ensure high standards of customer service are maintained. Resolve customer complaints and inquiries promptly and effectively.
• Store Maintenance and Presentation: Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the grocery area. Ensure products are properly displayed and labeled.
• Budget Management: Monitor departmental budget and control expenses to maximize profitability.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Conduct regular safety inspections and address any hazards.
• Product Knowledge: Maintain a strong knowledge of products and trends in the grocery industry. Provide information and recommendations to customers as needed.

• Proven experience in grocery management or a similar role.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
• Knowledge of inventory management and retail sales.

• A minimum of a high school diploma is required. A degree in business management or a related field is preferred.
