Description

We are in Jewellery industry based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates . We are looking for an Assistant Accountant who will join our team.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field;

- With Cost Accounting, Accounts Receivable and Inventory Management experience;

- Excellent in communication, research, problem solving and time management skills;

- Excellent analytical skills;

- High level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability;

- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines; and

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Responsibilities:

- Processing, verifying, and posting receipts for goods sold or services rendered;

- Researching and resolving account discrepancies;

- Processing and recording transactions;

- Maintaining records regarding payments and account statuses;

- Obtaining information from other departments to ensure records are accurate and complete and that accounts receivable ledgers and journals are up to date;

- Working with the collections department to review accounts and client payment and credit history to develop new or better repayment terms;

- Performing administrative and clerical tasks, such as data entry, preparing invoices, sending bill reminders, filing paperwork, and contacting clients to discuss their accounts;

- Generating reports and statements for internal use;

- Develop and maintain the cost accounting system, documents and records of the organization;

- Analyze and recommend costs and cost savings;

- Analyze the data collected and log a detailed record of the results;

- Analyze any changes in goods or services provided in order to determine what effect it has on the cost;

- Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare regular reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs;

- Make estimates of new and proposed product costs;

- Provide management with reports that specify and compare factors that affect prices and profitability of products or services;

- Conduct physical inventories and monitor the cycle count program;

- Reporting discrepancies between physical counts and computer records;

- Developing or improving upon inventory management procedures;

- Stocking and distributing supplies, equipment or merchandise; and

- Compiling balance, price and cost reports.
