Description

Key responsibilities:
  • Monitor and promote the physical, mental, and social wellbeing of all site workers and camp residents.
  • Conduct regular site and accommodation inspections to ensure compliance with welfare, health, and safety standards.
  • Act as a point of contact for workers to raise grievances, concerns, or welfare-related issues, ensuring confidentiality and fair resolution.
  • Coordinate with HR, HSE, and site management to address worker welfare issues promptly and effectively.
  • Maintain accurate records of welfare activities, incidents, inspections, and follow-up actions.
  • Organise and facilitate welfare awareness programs, including mental health, hygiene, and worker rights campaigns.
  • Liaise with government authorities, labour inspectors, and external welfare organisations as required.
  • Ensure worker accommodation, canteen facilities, and recreational areas meet required standards.
  • Support induction programs to inform new employees of their rights, facilities, and available welfare services.
  • Report welfare concerns and violations to senior management and recommend corrective actions.

Qualifications & requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Resources, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a welfare, HR, or workforce management role, preferably within the construction or infrastructure industry.
  • Strong knowledge of UAE Labour Law and worker welfare standards.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion, empathy, and professionalism
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic, Hindi, Urdu, or other languages is an advantage.
  • Valid UAE driving licence preferred.
  • Prior experience working on large-scale construction projects or labour camps is highly desirable.
