Description

BASIC FUNCTION

• Operates Shore-to-Ship Gantry Cranes for discharge and/or loading of deep-sea feeder vessels in the port within given safety and operational policies and procedures in the most efficient way possible. 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Operates the equipment assigned to him in a safe manner to ensure all work procedures and safety codes are followed to prevent injury to all personnel and damage to equipment.

• Conducts regularly pre and post inspections of the STS Crane and make sure that all abnormalities are reported to the Supervisors immediately.

Required:

• At least High School Diploma

• At least total of 5 years relevant experience; 2 years as STS crane operator and 3 years in different Container Terminal positions.

• Must possess UAE NO. 7 (TRACTOR) LICENSE.

• Knowledge of STS Crane First Line Maintenance.

• Physically fit; no fear of heights and must possess excellent sensory acuity.

• Average English skills in both oral and written form.
