Description

Responsibilities:

Assist in developing and optimizing polyester polyol and polyurethane adhesives formulations, specifically for applications in flexible packaging.

Contribute to lab-scale adjustments to meet performance targets and customer specifications.

Test and evaluate incoming raw materials.

Support supplier qualification through comparative performance analysis and lab trials.

Support evaluating key properties such as viscosity, peel strength, bond performance, open time, and curing behavior using standard lab protocols.

Collaborate with production teams during scale-up of lab formulations to plant trials.

Provide support in resolving any quality or process issues encountered during manufacturing.

Document all lab activities, experimental observations, and test results clearly.

Prepare technical summaries and quality reports to support internal reviews and customer communications.

Assist sales and application teams during customer trials, provide product performance data, and respond to technical queries regarding product handling, use, and optimization.

Follow all relevant safety procedures and ensure laboratory activities align with BCI standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.

3–4 years of experience in a technical or quality role within the polyurethane/polyol/adhesives industry.

Working knowledge of polyurethane raw materials and formulation behavior.

Strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and ability to work across teams.
