QHSE Officer (Marine/Offshore Industry) - MALE APPLICANT ONLY

The main purpose of this position is to facilitate the implementation and monitor the effectiveness of the implemented QHSE standards.

• Facilitate and monitor implementation of QHSE standards and practices;

• Complies with the Health & Safety instructions; Responsible in exercising due diligence towards health & safety of self & others in the organization

• Responsible to comply with the applicable HSE procedures, instructions, requirements, standards received from regulatory and statutory bodies

• Conducts safety awareness meetings with employees, and prepares the needed materials/manuals.

• Consult with Process owners in order to identify and evaluate risks at the work place, on the different company sites, and proposes control measures by implementing Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) processes.

• Assists in the preparation of Risk Assessment Reports for the different company activities, maintaining it as per new findings or new safety and health procedures.

• Participates in Audits, Accidents and Incidents investigations. Analyze root causes and recommend corrective actions.

• Ensure emergency response is effective and conduct training and mock drill as per agreed calendar

• Performs site inspections as per schedule and report hazards, environment impacts and unsafe practice in order to prevent incidents and injuries. Provide recommendations and mitigation measures where applicable.

• Prepare and issue audit summary reports, preventive/corrective action reports upon completion of audits/inspections.

PREFERABLY WITH MARINE/OFFSHORE KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE AND POSSESSING REQUIRED NEBOSH/QHSAS CERTIFICATION.
