Production Supervisor – Powder Coating & Wood Finish Sublimation

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead our Powder Coating and Wood Finish Sublimation operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning daily production, maximizing plant efficiency, improving productivity, reducing wastage, ensuring consistent product quality, and managing the workforce to achieve production targets while maintaining high safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Production Planning & Scheduling
* Prepare and implement daily and weekly production schedules.
* Coordinate with Sales, Stores, and Dispatch departments to ensure smooth workflow.
* Prioritize jobs based on delivery commitments.
* Monitor work-in-progress and ensure on-time completion.
Plant Operations
* Supervise all powder coating processes including:
* Surface preparation
* Pretreatment
* Drying
* Powder application
* Oven curing
* Inspection
* Packing
* Supervise the complete wood finish sublimation process including:
* Base powder coating
* Film application
* Vacuum wrapping
* Sublimation oven cycle
* Cooling
* Quality inspection
Productivity & Efficiency
* Increase production output without compromising quality.
* Improve labor productivity and machine utilization.
* Eliminate bottlenecks and downtime.
* Reduce rejection, rework, and material wastage.
* Implement Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Monitor daily production KPIs and recommend improvements.
Workforce Management
* Allocate manpower efficiently across production lines.
* Supervise operators, helpers, and packing staff.
* Train employees on correct operating procedures.
* Improve discipline, attendance, and workplace productivity.
* Conduct daily toolbox meetings.
Quality Control
* Ensure all products meet customer specifications.
* Monitor coating thickness, curing, adhesion, gloss, and appearance.
* Ensure wood finish transfer quality and consistency.
* Investigate defects and implement corrective actions.
Maintenance Coordination
* Coordinate preventive maintenance with the maintenance team.
* Monitor equipment condition and minimize production downtime.
* Ensure ovens, spray booths, pretreatment systems, compressors, and sublimation equipment are operating efficiently.
Safety & Housekeeping
* Maintain a safe working environment.
* Ensure proper use of PPE.
* Implement 5S housekeeping practices.
* Ensure compliance with UAE safety regulations.
Inventory & Material Control
* Monitor powder, chemicals, sublimation films, vacuum bags, and consumables.
* Minimize material wastage.
* Coordinate with Stores for timely availability of materials.
Required Qualifications
* Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent.
* Minimum 7–10 years of experience in powder coating operations.
* Minimum 5 years in a supervisory role.
* Hands-on experience with wood finish sublimation technology.
* Strong understanding of pretreatment chemistry, powder coating application, curing parameters, and sublimation processes.

Preferred Experience
Candidates with experience in aluminium architectural profiles, extrusion finishing, or large-scale powder coating plants using brands such as Jotun, AkzoNobel, Interpon, Tiger, or Axalta will be preferred.
Salary
AED 2,000 - 4,000 per month, depending on experience and qualifications, plus company accommodation, transportation, annual leave, air ticket, medical insurance, and performance-based incentives.
