Job Description:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and motivated Maintenance Helper to join our oil and gas team. The ideal candidate should possess a strong mechanical aptitude, a safety-conscious mindset, and a willingness to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment. This role involves assisting skilled technicians and engineers in maintaining and repairing equipment, ensuring its reliability and optimal functionality.

Responsibilities:

Equipment Maintenance and Repairs:

Assist experienced technicians in performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a range of oil and gas equipment, including pumps, valves, compressors, and pipelines.

Learn and follow maintenance procedures, guidelines, and safety protocols.

Tool and Equipment Management:

Help organize, clean, and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas to ensure efficient and safe operations.

Assist in tracking inventory levels of maintenance supplies and materials.

Safety Compliance:

Adhere to all safety regulations, procedures, and protocols while working in potentially hazardous environments.

Report any unsafe conditions or incidents promptly to supervisors.

Documentation and Reporting:

Assist in documenting maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections accurately.

Prepare reports and updates on equipment status, repairs completed, and upcoming maintenance tasks.

Collaboration:

Work closely with skilled technicians, engineers, and maintenance personnel to learn from their expertise and contribute to the team's success.

Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.

Training and Skill Development:

Participate in training programs and on-the-job learning to improve technical skills and expand knowledge of oil and gas equipment maintenance.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous experience in a mechanical or technical role is a plus.

Basic understanding of mechanical systems and equipment.

Safety-conscious mindset with the ability to follow safety protocols.

Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.

Willingness to learn, take initiative, and develop technical skills.
