Description

Responsibilities:

Food Preparation

Assist in preparing ingredients (chopping vegetables, marinating meats, etc.) as per recipes or instructions.

Measure and mix ingredients accurately.

Prepare simple dishes under the supervision of chefs or cooks.

Cooking Support

Support chefs and cooks during food preparation and service.

Operate basic kitchen equipment (grills, fryers, ovens) if trained.

Plate food items neatly and ensure correct portions.

Cleaning & Sanitation

Wash dishes, utensils, pots, and pans.

Clean kitchen surfaces, equipment, and floors regularly.

Follow hygiene and safety standards to prevent contamination.

Dispose of waste properly and keep workstations clean.

Stock & Inventory

Receive and store deliveries properly (check for quality and quantity).

Label and date food items, and follow FIFO (First-In-First-Out) method.

Inform supervisors when supplies are low.

Team Collaboration

Communicate effectively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.

Follow instructions from chefs, supervisors, or kitchen managers.

Assist in opening and closing kitchen duties.
