Description

• Civil/Architect Engineer with minimum 10 years’ experience worked in contracting/design consultancies 5 of which is in construction management field, required to work at a construction site/client office for client side, with the following major skills in order to effectively oversee construction project/s and ensure that the client's objectives are met:

• Construction Knowledge: Understanding of construction processes, materials, and methods is essential to ensure that the project meets the client's requirements and standards.

• Project Management: Skills in project planning, scheduling, and budget management are crucial for overseeing the construction project on behalf of the client/client representative.

• Communication: Effective communication with various stakeholders, including contractors, architects, engineers, and the client/client representative, is vital to ensure that project goals are met.

• Problem Solving: The ability to identify and address construction issues and challenges in a timely and efficient manner is important to keep the project on track.

• Legal and Contractual Knowledge: Understanding of construction contracts, regulations, and legal requirements is necessary to protect the client's interests and ensure compliance with all relevant laws.

• Quality Assurance: Monitoring and ensuring the quality of work, materials, and safety standards is a key responsibility.

• Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating potential risks to the project, such as delays or cost overruns, is critical.

• Negotiation: revising and reporting to client representative the change orders in order to help Negotiating, resolving disputes, and managing any necessary contract amendments may be part of the role.

• Documentation: Maintaining thorough project records and reports is important for tracking progress and resolving disputes.

• Leadership: Providing strong leadership and direction to the project team and contractors is crucial for project success.

• Client Relationship Management: Building and maintaining a positive relationship with the client/client representative is essential to understand their needs and expectations.

• Health and Safety: Knowledge of construction safety standards and the ability to enforce them on the site to protect workers and the public.

• Reviewing contractor bills: Effectively examining the invoices submitted by the construction contractor to ensure accuracy, transparency, compliance with the terms of the construction contract, and ensure that the client pays for work that has been completed in accordance with the contract and prevents unauthorized or incorrect charges that maintaining the financial health of a construction project.
