Description

• Verify, check and process PDA and Final DA’s and maintain track of FDA and invoices processed

• Reconciliation Port Disbursement account submit by Port agents and ensures that all expenses are booked in proper accounts

• Verify supplier invoice, matching PO’s with supplier invoice and payment terms.

• Check Monthly Technical Expenses incurred by Technical Manager of the vessels including reconciling, querying and comparing actual to projected and budgeted expense.

• Arrange the Cash to Master of the vessel upon the request at various worldwide ports.

• Prepare tariff comparisons for each country to keep log of previous queries.

Reporting

• Submit weekly overdue payments and invoices, provide analysis and advise the reason for overdue to the management.

• Submit monthly Reconciliation of agent and Vendor accounts.

• Prepare detailed reports / schedules such as daily Time charter yield, Monthly / Daily Technical expenses and comparison with Projected Technical Expenses provided by Technical Manager of the vessels.

Skills & Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant with minimum 3 years’ experience working with SHIP AGENCY/OWNING COMPANY. Work experience in UAE is PREFFERED.

• Thorough knowledge of general accounting.

• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year- end close process.

• Hands-on experience with ERP accounting software.

• Advanced MS Excel skills.

• Accuracy and attention to detail.

• Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills.

• Excellent command over verbal and written English communication skills.

• Extremely organized with strong multi-tasking and management skills.

• Good negotiation skills.
