Description

• Perform welding operations as characterized by the requirement for close tolerance welding and for welding in variety of physical conditions.
• Perform welding operations in accordance with the regulatory bodies’ standards for quality and safety.
• Weld, cut and solder ferrous and non-ferrous metals, such as brass and cast iron, stainless steel, aluminum and carbon steel.
• Use appropriate procedures, welding equipment and techniques according to assignment, such as cutting, flame trimming, grinding and drilling, select correct electrodes and use various heat treatment techniques to 'finish' welding work. Use aluminum welding techniques when required
• Carry out inert gas welding to repair materials such as heat resistant steel and copper nickel alloys or turbine blades and heat exchanger tubes
• Maintaining high standard of housekeeping in area of work.
  Using appropriate safety equipment and protective clothing.
  Undertake other assignments as deemed appropriate by the Workshop Supervisor or by the division’s management.
• Fair oral communication skills in Arabic and English, and the ability to collaborate in a multicultural, multinational team environment.
